I am the author of Sababa: Fresh, Sunny Flavors From My Israeli Kitchen, which was named a Best Fall 2019 cookbook by The New York Times, Bon Appetit, and Food & Wine. I am currently working on my followup to Sababa, a very personal take on the foods of Shabbat.


I'm the coauthor of 14 cookbooks, most recently Gazoz: The Art of making Magical, Sparkling, Seasonal Drinks. My three collaborations with Chrissy Teigen--Cravings, Cravings: Hungry For More, and Cravings: All Together---with Chrissy Teigen were all New York Times Best-sellers. 


I made aliyah (became a citizen of Israel in December 2018). I cook and write in Tel Aviv, where I lives in the shadow of the Carmel Market with my husband, Jay Shofet.
